Coamings for Sediment Storage

  • Name of Project: SEDIMENT STORAGE CARGO COAMING
  • Scope of Work: FEASIBILITY
    • Technical review of the deck strength and stability carachteristics of the barges;
    • Identification of the deck area where the sediment can be stowed;
    • Identification of the maximum cargo on deck against the stability, global / local strength constraint;
    • Identification of the min cargo coaming height to be mobilized to contain the sediment stowed on deck.
    STRUCTURAL DESGIN
    • Application of the new hydrostatic head for the calculation of the sea and internal pressure;
    • Verification of the structural members;
    • Calculation of the new still water shear forces and bending moments and verification against the rule allowable ones;
    • Verification of the intact stability criteria;
    • Provision of the report as Addendum to existing Stability Booklet.
